BACKGROUND
After serving in Vietnam in the United States Army, Tom began a career in the construction industry in 1972 with the Del E. Webb Corporation. Leaving Webb in 1980 as Manager of Commercial Operations, Tom took a position with The Wray Company, a commercial contractor and a wholly-owned subsidiary of Weyerhauser. He remained with The Wray Company as Vice President until 1990 when he founded Chestnut Construction Corporation in Tucson.
Founding Chestnut Construction Corporation in 1990, Tom has served as its President and CEO since inception and oversees the overall operations of the corporation. He has maintained a corporate philosophy of quality and fairness to clients, subcontractors and staff making Chestnut Construction Corporation one of the areas largest and most respected general commercial contracting firms.
